Did Somebody Say Whip Cream??!!

Hello Folks.............Ok! ok!  I admit it! I slipped.

So let me just start by saying church is suppose to be a refuge from the storm!! So Whats up with all the tempting cookies and home baked cinnamon rolls??? Don't people know I am trying to be on this serious health Kick? I was so strong......11 days with no junk food.  I could feel myself starting to crack under the strain... talk of strawberry shortcakes and heavenly visions of donuts.  I knew it was only a matter of time... Well, if this was going to happen it was going to happen my way.  So I began ransacking my barren cupboards for something to satiate my sweet tooth without completely derailing my confidence in achieving a healthier lifestyle....

I found some Trader Joes Cereal
Some strawberries
some apples
dash of cinnamon
a few tablespoons of brown sugar
a jar of coconut oil

and heres where it gets hairy.....I knew there was cool whip in the fridge....

The label says:

I know there are a minimum of 7 unidentifiable ingredients!
most nutritionist are rolling over in their graves....sigh.. I Know. May the nutrition Gods please forgive me.  If I could have gone for real cream, I probably would have, but whats a Lactose Intolerant girl to do?

So I put the Granola cereal in my Vitamix (love my Vitamix, Thank you Mariss) and created an oatflour mixture...

I added some oatmeal cereal to give it some more texture, some Vanilla extract and Almond extract, (because there is nothing that doesn't taste better with Almond extract!)

So I mentioned the brown sugar....it is better than evil refined white sugar, right?
Ok, i did have Agave that I should have used. I know it absorbs into the blood more slowly and is way easier on our insulin levels...but again, I hope the Nutrition Gods will forgive me.

I chopped up Two Apples and some Strawberries, sprinkled with cinnamon and put that in the pan as the first level..

In my oatmeal crisp layer i did use the coconut oil..........OK!!!! Its TRUUEEE!!!!  I also added what was left of the butter in the fridge. Big SIGH. Well heres to being open and transparent.

VOILA!

Yes, it was pretty much heaven on earth.  It was incredibly satisfying and ended up being my dinner and dessert.  I am proud that it was not some processed, chemical fill, white sugar, diabetes time bomb.  I did use mostly all natural ingredients, and the surprising thing was, that I felt  full long after eating it.  The hearty oats and fiber from the fruit helped sustain my level of energy and kept the sugar from hitting my blood stream too hard! This is a great alternative to curbing your sweet tooth.

Overcoming Persuasions Of Cowboy Bark

Confessions of a Chocoholic

I have been so good this month! ........As far as diet goes.  Ive had a few obsessive moments where all I wanted to do was choke down some donuts, chocolate cowboy bark from Trader Joes, or just go on an all out carbo binge!  But, I managed to find something healthy to eat instead. My workouts are a completely different story.  I have been sporadic at best.  Still trying to find my routine.  I have a few ideas to get me consistent.  I don't want to be like those sweat band, resolution junkies who charge the gym and hit it hard for 2 weeks then fizzle out.  Im starting slow walking on the beach, leg raises in the living room...I know, so glamorous.

My BioPhotonic Scan Score as of January 1st 2015
46,000

My carotenoid level is pretty good...like a B-

"This score represents the current carotenoid antioxidant level of your skin. The higher the score, the better carotenoid antioxidant protection your body is getting. As you continue to eat more fruits and vegetables and supplement with LifePak®, your score will improve"

If You are curious about your scan score let me know. I have connections!

THOUGHTS FOR THURSDAY.....

I had the most Shocking SMS conversation this week! A Girl from Saudi Arabia friended me and this is what she said in our brief text....

I was so surprised to her admitting this, that I rephrased the question, But sadly, she still stated that she hated Americans...

This was weird!! She wanted my picture.  Not sure what she wanted it for...maybe to burn it or something? Maybe she hadn't figured out that I was one of these hated Americans she spoke of...

So this is where it ended, not sure if we are still friends, but she did text me hi again the next day...

ABOUT

The Bosquets

Hi! So here we are, Thomy and Liz Bosquet.  I started this Blog in 2015 to try and keep my family up to date with all the changes I would be experiencing this year.  However, we moved again for the 8th time in 6 years so it has been a little tough to keep up with my blog. I have several procedures coming up that are sure to bring much hilarity and intrigue over the next few months so stay tuned!

I want to track my Transformation through, Health, Fitness, and Fashion. I feel like sharing experiences and trials through out the year I can inspire others and we can strengthen eachother on this journey as well! So enjoy and feel free to make comments below.
